Chicago Kent’s The Power of PTAB: The New Authority in Patent Law is a Chicago-based conference hosted by Chicago Kent Law from 8:15am until 5:30pm CT on November 3, 2017. The conference will examine the rise of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), which is on pace in 2017 to set a record of deciding over 2,000 inter-partes review (IPR) initiated by parties challenging the validity of existing patents. The conference includes leading patent academics and attorneys examining many facets of the PTAB’s expanded powers under the America Invents Act, including related to PTAB procedures, claim construction, and decisions.

It promises to be an excellent event with top notch speakers. Of particular note, my partner Steve Jedlinski is moderating a panel.

Register here for the event. I hope to see you there.
